Staff at North Kildare business premises robbed at knifepoint

Staff members at a business premises located in North Kildare were robbed at knifepoint earlier this week.

When asked about the incident by the Leinster Leader, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating the robbery of a business premises in Beaufield, Maynooth, County Kildare on Monday, March 11, 2024.

"At approximately 7.45pm a man entered the premises and demanded money from staff while brandishing a knife."

They continued: "A sum of cash was taken from the premises.

"No one was injured in the course of the incident."

The spokesperson concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is urged to ring Leixlip Garda Station on  (01) 666 7800.
