KILDARE: Special Needs housing development being planned for Naas

A special needs housing development is being planned for near the Sallins Road area of Naas.

A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council  by Springwood Limited.

Being proposed are nine pairs of semi-detached dwellings, totaling eighteen houses, each containing two levels of accommodation and each providing four bedrooms, a combined kitchen / dining area, a living room, a bathroom and porch and  hallway accommodation.

A new vehicular entrance to the site is proposed off an existing access road which serves Scoil Bride and Naas GAA.

Also in the documents are plans for a new estate road and two internal footpaths, two parking spaces per house along with three dedicated visitor bays.

A public open space for outdoor recreation and the creation of front and rear garden areas for each dwelling are also proposed. 

The estimated construction value of the project is over €6m, according to the Construction Information Services database.
