Gardaí have made several detections for speeding on a busy stretch of road in Kildare, with one motorist clocked going 45km/h over the speed limit with a bald tyre.
According to An Garda Síochána, the Naas Roads Policing Unit were carrying out speed checks on the Sallins Bypass recently when they detected 17 motorists driving "well over" the 80km/h limit.
Gardaí highlighted one offender in particular who was caught travelling at 125km/h with a bald tyre.
A Fixed Charge Penalty Notice was issued to all offenders, gardaí said.
