Naas Courthouse.

A man who committed a public disorder offence at a convenience store in County Kildare has been fined.

Luke Gavin, with an address listed as Barnacrow, Kilmeague, Naas, was convicted by Judge Desmond Zaidan at Naas District Court for the offence.

Gardaí told the judge that on August 3 last, the 34-year-old was intoxicated and was 'acting in a threatening manner' towards members of staff working in the Centra store located in the Curragh Grange region of Newbridge.

It was heard that Mr Gavin was also abusive towards gardaí.

The judge was told that Mr Gavin has six previous convictions, three of which are for public disorder offences.

Judge Zaidan fined Mr Gavin €500 and ordered him to pay it within three months.
