Gardaí based in County Kildare have arrested a speeding driver who tested positive for cocaine.
According to the official Garda Traffic account on X / Twitter: "Naas Roads Policing Unit conducted a speed check on the M9 at Ballytore and detected a car traveling at 178 kilometres per hour in a 120 km/h zone.
"Driver tested positive for cocaine and was arrested for drug and dangerous driving."
"The car was impounded for no tax/NCT, and ineffective wing mirror," the account added.
