A woman’s ex-partner had been threatening to take his own life, it was claimed.
The allegation was made by a woman seeking an interim protection order at Naas District Court on Thursday, February 1 last.
The woman told substitute Judge Fiona Brennan that her ex-partner, who is also the father of her child, has been 'emotionally blackmailing' her by sending constant threats of suicide.
Judge Brennan agreed to grant the order until the case resumes on a date in September, and ordered gardaí to serve the order on the man.
She also said that the man can still contact her regarding matters related to her child, which the woman approved of.
