KILDARE: Work to begin on 116-bedroom student accommodation development

Work is due to being soon on €8.9m student accommodation facility in Maynooth being developed by Maynooth University. 

The development will be on a site at Buckley House on Parson Street. 

The estimated construction value of the project is €8.9m, according to Building Information Ireland database. 

The development comprises a mixed-use development comprising student accommodation, an atrium, a restaurant, a café, refuse stores and a plant room.

Site development works including flood relief works are in the plans. 

The restaurant includes the restoration and change of use from residential to restaurant to Buckley House, a new single storey glazed link extension, outdoor dining terrace and a landscaped public open space with access from Parson Street.

Student accommodation facility comprising 116 bedroom units over the ground, first, second and third, communal kitchen and common rooms with private access at ground floor level to single-storey atrium and external courtyard.

There will be a main entrance off Leinster Street and side entrance from lane to the rear of Buckley House off Parson Street.
