Gardaí in Kildare have confirmed that they are not investigating an alleged stalking incident near the Moorefield Road in Newbridge.
An anonymous user alleged on the Newbridge Co. Kildare Residents Community Forum page on Facebook that they were being stalked by two men at the Moorefield region of the town on Saturday, December 9 last.
The poster claimed that the alleged incident took place at 8.15pm.
When asked about the alleged incident, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí attended the Moorefield Road in Newbridge, County Kildare at approximately 8.20pm on December 9, 2023.
"No offences were disclosed to gardaí upon their arrival in the area."
The spokesperson clarified: "This matter is not under investigation as no offences were disclosed upon arrival at the scene."
