KILDARE COURT: Former husband gets so drunk he can barely walk

Roles reversed in Naas Courthouse as solicitors told what to do

Naas Courthouse

A woman told Naas District Court her ex-husband gets so drunk “he can barely walk.”

She also claimed she has been subjected to psychological abuse and has come home at 5am - and for this reason she could not leave children with him.

She also told the court she had left the house and when she went to report the issue to the gardaí, she was told to go to court to seek protection under family law legislation.

She further stated she would not return to the house.

The judge granted a protection order but said he could contact her electronically about child-related issues.

The woman was told the order would be served by the gardaí and the case was adjourned to December 11.

The judge added that the order would cease if she did not come back to court on that date.
