Local businesses in Maynooth were contacted by Kildare County Council in advance of road improvement works.

The issue was raised by Cllr Naoise Ó Cearúil who was told that all business owners on  Mill Street including the asset managers of the Manor Mills shopping centre were notified by post about the work and the  proposed changes to the road layout and streetscape.

A Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting heard that two submissions were received from two of the businesses as part of the consultation process. Discussions and site meetings took place with the two businesses to go through the proposed changes and discuss their concerns.
