Kildare gardaí tested 666 motorists for alcohol and drugs over the weekend.
According to the official X (Twitter) account Garda Traffic: "Gardaí in Naas and Leixlip carried out 26 checkpoints over the weekend.
• 666 drivers tested for alcohol and drugs
• 5 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence
• 13 vehicles were seized for various offences
• 31 fines were also issued."
