A yellow junction box is needed near the entrance to a housing estate in Naas.
Local councillor Anne Breen told a Naas Municipal District meeting that it should be provided at the junction near the entrance/exit to Aylmer Park from Monread.
Kildare county Council has undertaken to assess the provision of a box at this location “in line with the relevant technical guidance. document.”
Cllr Breen said there are 200 houses in the area and it is very difficult “for people to get in and out.”
She said some residents are turning left and then turning back because a right turn is problematic.
And Cllr Carmel Kelly said the area is used as a “rat run” between Monread Road and Sallins Road.
According to KCC engineer David Reel the assessment will be done by mid-November.
