The comments were made at a meeting which was held at Kildare County Council headquarters at Áras Chill Dara.
Upcoming plans for a mausoleum located in Clane are 'a step above and beyond.'
The comments were made by Independent councillor Pádraig McEvoy at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting, which was held on Friday, November 3 last.
He motioned for Kildare County Council (KCC) 'to refer the Heritage Council-funded Conservation Report on theWogan Browne Mausoleum, Mainham, Clane to the Historic Monuments Advisory Committee (HMAC) to consider for addition to the council’s work programme.'
His motion was seconded by Fine Gael Cllr Brendan Weld.
In response, KCC said in its report at the meeting: "The HMAC will consider the inclusion of the recommendations from the Heritage Council funded Conservation Report on the Wogan Browne Mausoleum, into the 2024 work programme.
"This programme will be further discussed with the HMAC at their next meeting on December 13, 2023."

Cllr McEvoy told KCC: "Damage has been done to the structure, so I approve of the prospect of the HMAC looking at the site."
"This particular project will be a step above and beyond," he said: "If there can be funding resourced for it, that would be very helpful."
Cllr Weld commented that he 'endorsed everything Cllr McEvoy said.'
He added that he believed that the project would be ‘a very worthwhile’ one.
