KILDARE: First wheelchair user to graduate primary school teacher from Maynooth University

Disability advocate Leesa Flynn, the first wheelchair user to graduate as a primary school teacher from Maynooth University, is pictured at the November Conferring Ceremony.

Leesa describes herself as having  a passion for disability activism and advocacy.

She served a one year term as DARE (Disability Access Route to Education) Senator in Maynooth Students' Union from 2021-22.

 She has already completed a BA in English and History in Maynooth University, from 2016-2019.
