A Naas District Court defendant accused of harbouring a suspected cannabis haul has had his case sent forward for trial.

Practicitioners present in the court on Thursday, October 26 last were told that one Jay Brennan, with an address given as 33 O'Higgins Road in The Curragh, stored around €4,960 worth of suspected cannabis at his home on December 11, 2022.

It was also alleged that gardaí discovered a 'ticklist', weighing scales and deal-bags in the 40-year-old's home at the time.

After a book of evidence was served on the accused by gardaí, Judge Desmond Zaidan sent his case forward for trial to the present sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court.

The judge granted bail for Mr Brennan until the case resumes.
