Kildare County Council (KCC) was asked to outline the schedule to deliver the different stages of Newbridge Local Area Plan (LAP).
The question was asked by Cathaoirleach and Fianna Fáil Cllr Noel Heavey at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting on Wednesday, October 18 last.
KCC told Cllr Heavey in its report at the meeting that while schedule is not ready yet, the elected members would be informed by the council as soon as details were finalised.
It was heard that the LAP will be informed by both the Pre-Draft Consultation for the LAP, as well as other evidence-based reports, including: the Area Based Transport Assessment, Social Infrastructure Assessment, Settlement Capacity Audit and Environmental Assessments.
KCC stressed to Cllr Heavey that a public consultation regarding the LAP would take place.
