KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED: A well attended pet blessing ceremony

The recent Ecumenical Pet Blessing in Christ Church, Celbridge, was a great success with a large number of dogs, and a few brave cats, with their owners, attending the service.

The Rector of Christ Church, Stephen Neil, who had organised the event was joined by Fr Peter from St Patrick’s, Celbridge, to conduct a most enjoyable and original service.

Also a big thank you to the musicians and to the helpers during the service and to those who provided refreshments afterwards.

A collection was held during the service and given to the KWWSPCA to help it with our work, for which we are very grateful.

This uplifting event is a lovely way of celebrating the good in our pets.

Sooty

Sooty is a young male Collie, probably about a year old. He came into our care along with his brother Sweep.

He is extremely friendly and affectionate and is very good on the lead.

He is very active with bags of energy and really enjoys his playtime.

His brother Sweep has been adopted so we are looking for a nice home for this lovely family pet. Sooty has been neutered, microchipped (972274001582792), vaccinated and treated for worms and fleas.
