An assault accusation relating to an alleged incident in Kildare town was detailed at Naas District Court on Thursday, October 5 last.
Noel Walsh, of Maryville, Melitta Road in Kildare town, was accused of assaulting a person, with the aid of another person, on Claregate Street in Kildare town on April 15 last.
The identity of the 54-year-old’s co-accused was not disclosed to the court on the date in question.
Gardaí alleged that the assault was caught on CCTV, in which it allegedly showed Mr Walsh’s co-accused knocking the alleged injured party to the ground and stamping on them 'multiple times.'
It was further alleged that Mr Walsh punched the alleged injured party twice.
After a book of evidence was served by gardaí on Mr Walsh, Judge Desmond Zaidan sent him forward for trial at the present sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court.
