NEWS BRIEF: Kildare County Council cleans up 3.5 tonnes of litter in Kildoon

Kildare County Council has said that it removed 3.5 tonnes of litter from a site in Kildoon.

The council said on its official X / Twitter account: "This area in Kildoon is enjoyed by locals as part of a looped walk & serves as a valued amenity for the rural area.

"Unfortunately, it had been subjected to fly-tipping, resulting in waste accumulation."

The council continued: "Our clean-up resulted in 3.5 tonnes of waste being removed from the site."
