The construction of a telecommunications tower has been proposed for grounds of GAA Club in North Kildare.

Documents lodged with Kildare County Council show that Vantage Towers Limited is seeking permission to construct the tower on the grounds of Maynooth GAA Club, at the Moyglare Road in Maynooth (W23 HH94).

Vantage Towers Ltd intends to erect an 18 metre high monopole telecommunication structure, which would carry antennas, dishes and associated telecommunications equipment, including a ground based equipment cabinet surrounded by a protective cage.

The adjoining existing 16 metre high floodlight structure would be removed, and the floodlights would be relocated to the proposed telecommunications monopole.

The date received is listed as September 26 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as October 30 and November 20 respectively.

According to the business information website SoloCheck.ie, Vantage Towers Ltd was established in 2020.

The company specialises in 'other telecommunications activities' and has an address listed as Mountainview, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, County Dublin.
