KILDARE: Well known Naas barber has moved on....in a manner of speaking

Well known gents barber and hair stylist has moved shop - after almost four decades.

OB1 barber shop/hair salon had been open at 27 North Main Street in Naas and is one of the town’s oldest businesses.

Customers Ian Kelly and Colman Campbell along with former staffers Michelle Waters and Brenda  Lenehan turned up at the salon on one of the last days to mark the move and wish John all the best for the future.

A native of Humphreystown, between Blessington and Valleymount, John has transferred only a short distance away - a hair's breadth, you might say.

His new base is at Hair by Liz Bergin at unit 2 in nearby’s St. David’s House, just off the same part of North Main Street.

”I’ll be working five days a week from Tuesday to Saturday and there will be a mix of appointments and walk-ins, with priority given to pre arranged appointments,” said John, who will continue to trade as OB1.

“I’m looking forward to seeing all of my customers at the new location,” said John who has been in business in Naas for 37 years.
