The site of the former Swan Dowling's public house in Naas is now up for sale by private treaty.
Last year, the Leinster Leader reported that the popular Naas pub had been sold and was likely to be redeveloped by construction company Derrin Homes in order to provide residential accommodation.
However, an advertisement published by real-estate company Savills now shows that the site is up for sale again.
According to the description of the ad, the existing public house site extends to around 0.3 hectares (around 0.91 acres).
It also notes that a feasibility study shows that the site 'demostrates the potential for a ground-floor retail unit and 83 no. residential unit scheme.'
Swan Dowling's is located on the Newbridge Road, adjacent to the headquarters of Kildare County Council.
It is approximately 400 metres away from Naas Main Street and is also 6 kilometres away from Sallins Train Station.
