A new playground is to be sited in Straffan, within the ground of the GAA club.
Cllr Angela Feeney was told that a meeting has taken place with the club, which has identified a site.
However KCC official Simon Wallace said the progression of this would be subject to the club redeveloping their existing changing facilities.
He also said that money will have to be found to deliver the facility and any work “will have to be considered in the context of other project commitments across the county.”
He said it would take six to eight weeks for equipment to be delivered.
Meanwhile Cllr Paul Ward was told that a tender for a new facility at Bawnogues, Kilcock, is to be completed.
The design proposals are completed and once the tender is completed the date for start of work will be arranged by the contractor.
It is likely to be summer 2024 before the Kilcock playground is delivered.
