KILDARE: Call for a one way street in Naas

Information is being sought about whether a feasibility study is being carried out on making a Naas street one way.

Cllr Bob Quinn is to raise the issue at a Naas Municipal District meeting today.

A call was previously made for a one way driving system to apply along John's Lane - the route connecting North Main Street (opposite the Dunnes Stores entrance ) with Friary Road (exiting at the back of Hayden’s pub).

Cllr Anne Breen said at the time that a one-way system would be in  the interests of pedestrian safety and improved traffic flow.
