The death has occurred of Declan Carey

Upper Kilmurry, Thomastown, Kilkenny, R95 FX76 / Straffan, Kildare

retired publican, Thomastown, County Kilkenny. 

Formerly of  Straffan, Co Kildare, and London, England.

Declan died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, following a short illness bravely borne.

He is predeceased by his brother Noel and sisters Helen and Claire.

Sadly missed by his beloved wife Elizabeth (née Power) and his three cherished daughters Lisa, Caroline and Alice.

Declan will also be greatly missed by his sisters Louise and Christine, and his brother Romuald in addition to his many neighbours, friends and former customers at Carey's Pub.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of St Mark's Ward at the Hermitage Clinic, Dublin for their kindness and compassion when caring for Declan.

Reposing at his Home R95 FX76 from 4pm on Friday concluding with Vigil Prayers at 7.30pm.

Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Thomastown to arrive for 11am Requiem Mass followed by interment in St Mary's New Cemetery, Thomastown, County Kilkenny.

The death has occurred of Edward (Ned) Connolly

The Terrace, Timolin, Moone, Kildare, R14 KC90.

Died on September 5, 2023 peacefully at Naas General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Roseann, sons Shane, Enda, Colin, Edward and Jason, daughters Caroline and Lorraine, sons in law, daughters in law, brothers Billy, Dan and Pat, sisters Mary, Teresa and Kathleen, grandchildren, great-grandchild Kayden, extended family, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Yafet Desta

Naas, Kildare.

Late of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Yafet passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning after a long battle bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Catherine and adored father of Rachel, Stephen and Simon.

Predeceased by his mother and father, his brother Amara  and his close friend Dereje.

Yafet will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his brothers, sisters, many nieces and nephews, and colleagues as well as his extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends across the world. 

Reposing on Friday evening (September 8) at The George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas (eircode W91 CD0K) from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm.
