Joe Walsh and Thomas Cunningham
Two Rose of Tralee escorts have links to Kildare with Joe Walsh from Naas, and Thomas Cunningham from Rathangan stepping into the limelight to accompany the Roses.
Joe Walsh, Storeman at ABP Rathkeale is being sponsored by ABP Rathkeale and Richie Whelan's Menswear.
Thomas Cunningham is sponsored by McLoughlins Supervalu, Portarlington; and Mountmellick, Rathangan and District Credit Union. He also carried out a fundraising raffle in aid of Women's Aid before he departed for the festival.
Roses and Rose escorts representing Ireland and abroad will take to the stage at the Dome in the Kerry Sports Academy at the MTU on August 21 and 22. Throughout the festival week, the Rose escorts take part in Rose of Tralee International Festival events and live television broadcast, with the chance at becoming Benetti Menswear Rose Escort of the Year.
Fellow Rathangan native and television presenter, Brian Dowling wished Tommy and all the escorts well.
