Two road closures have been announced for North Kildare.

For the second closure, Kildare County Council (KCC) said in a statement: "Please note road resurfacing works will be carried out on the R403 Brockage.

"A road closure will be in place on Friday, August 18 to Tuesday, August 22.

"Diversion routes will be in place and will be clearly signposted. Your co-operation is appreciated and any inconvenience caused is regretted," KCC concluded.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES   

Traffic travelling east towards Prosperous should turn left onto the L7073 Brockagh towards Blackwood turning right onto the L 1019 towards R403 Dagwelds.

Traffic travelling West towards Allenwood should turn right onto the L1019 Blackwood towards its junction with L7073 turning left in Blackwood towards its junction with the R403 Graigues.

Regarding the second closure, KCC had this to say: "Please note road resurfacing works will be carried out on the L7081 Healys Bridge.

"A road closure will be in place on Wednesday, August 23 to Friday, August 25.

"Diversion routes will be in place and will be clearly signposted. Your co-operation is appreciated and any inconvenience caused is regretted," KCC added.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

Traffic travelling south towards Kilmeague should divert on the R409 towards Goatstown turning right onto L7078 Newtowndonore continuing to its junction with the L7081 Mylerstown.

Traffic travelling north towards Prosperous should turn right onto the L7078 Mylerstown towards Newtowndonore turning left onto the R409 towards Downing Cross.
