"What goes through people's heads?" Kildare shop owner furious after break-ins on two nights in a row

The damage caused to G Sports in Newbridge

The owner of a Newbridge shop is furious after his premises was broken into on two nights in a row.

Andrew Groves said G Sports shop at Langton Cross was targeted on Sunday night and Monday night.

A till and an Acer laptop were both taken during the break-ins.

The shattered glass at the front of the shop had a makeshift repair today and it was business as usual for the popular outlet.

Speaking about the second break-in last night, Andrew said: "Sadly you couldn’t make this up…… A phone call at 2am this morning to inform me the shop had been broken into yet again.

"I thought it was a joke until I arrived up to see a much larger hole and my shop laptop gone.

"Whole till on Sunday night, laptop on Monday night. I write this in complete disbelief, genuinely lost for words as to what goes through people's heads."

Andrew added: "It’s business as usual for us today as best we can without a till and without a laptop! If anyone happens to come across a black Acer laptop around Newbridge we of course would be very grateful!"
