The case was heard at Naas District Court on Thursday, July 20.

North Kildare man accused of assault causing harm (ACH) and criminal damage has had his case sent forward for trial.

Josh Krieger, with an address listed as Ticknevin in Carbury but who is currently remanded in custody, was accused of the offences while he was presented before Naas District Court on Thursday, July 20 last.

It was alleged by gardaí that on June 11, 2022, the 26-year-old committed an alleged ACH offence at Ticknevin.

Gardaí further alleged that two days later, June 13, 2022, the accused allegedly committed another ACH offence in Ticknevin, in addition to a criminal damage offence.

Furthermore, it was alleged that Mr Krieger was caught driving with no valid insurance being displayed at Barberstown Upper  on July 25, 2022.

After a book of evidence was served by gardaí on the defendant, substitute Judge Deirdre Gearty sent Mr Krieger forward for trial to the next sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court, which will commence on October 3.

She also adjourned the road traffic case against the defendant to November 9 for hearing.
