The case was heard at Naas District Court.

A motorist had three different types of cannabis in his system while he was driving, gardaí told Naas District Court on Thursday, July 6.

Rhys Wing, with an address listed as 15 Silverstream Crescent in Belfast, appeared before Naas District Court on Thursday, July 6.

It was heard that the 25-year-old committed the offence at the N7 in Curraghfarm on March 11 last.

He pleaded guilty to the offence.

Gardaí added that was co-operative on the date in question.

Mr Wing has no previous convictions, and his barrister, Mark Gibbons, said that his client was 'very embarrassed and ashamed' over the incident.

Judge Zaidan imposed a one-year driving ban on Mr Wing and also fined him €650, to be paid within three months.
