Two books of evidence were served in two separate cases that appeared once more before Naas District Court on Thursday, June 1.
In the first case, John Nolan, of 57 Hillbrook Estate in Tullow, County Carlow, was earlier this year accused of sending threats over the telephone to a former senior garda in Kildare on at least three separate occasions in 2021.
It was heard the alleged offence would be in contravention of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1951.
After a book of evidence was served on the 36-year-old, sitting Judge Patricia Cronin sent Mr Nolan forward for trial at the next sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court, which will commence on June 20.
In the second case, Damien Costello, of Apartment B, Block E, The Paddocks in Newbridge, was previously accused of assaulting another person with a broken bottle in Newbridge on September 13, 2020.
The injured party sustained a deep laceration, allegedly as the result of the assault.
