Kildare-raised star Shiv to play The Summer Party

With summer about to get into full swing, Hot Press is celebrating – by joining forces with Smooch Ice Cream to present The Summer Party, a dazzling evening of unmissable music, with performances by hit-makers Shiv and Chasing Abbey –  as well as a free, unlimited ice cream bar.

Taking place on Thursday, June 8, at The Chocolate Factory in the heart of Dublin, it's already shaping up to be an unforgettable summer night, with complimentary tickets available now.

Shiv will be bringing her captivating, genre-blending energy to The Chocolate Factory. Following a string of lauded releases, the Zimbabwean-Irish artist is primed for international success – as she continues to make serious waves with recent singles 'Heavy Water' and 'Late Now'. Last year's 'Golden', meanwhile, has clocked up over 11.6 million streams on Spotify alone.

Initially making their mark on the Irish scene with breakout tracks like 'Talk To Me' and 'That Good Thing' – both of which have garnered streams in their millions – the Tullamore trio, Cashing Abbey have continued to impress, with energetic live sets and a series of superb singles.

Chasing Abbey has enjoyed a busy 2023 so far. They recently teamed up with a choir for a special version of their single 'Lie', and launched their impressive The Vault series, which finds them uploading one song a week exclusively to SoundCloud and YouTube. One of their latest tracks from the series, the irresistible 'Oh My Johnny', recently hit No.1 in Ireland on SoundCloud's New & Hot playlist. So, there's never been a better time to catch Chasing Abbey in action!

The Summer Party is an alcohol-free event! There will be a draw for festival tickets at the show. There’ll also be giant Jenga & Cornhole games, and attendees will be able to get themselves on their very own Hot Press cover!
