A brand-new development has been put forward for a business park located between Naas and Newbridge.
Green Urban Logistics Development Corporation Limited is seeking planning permission to construct the development at Site 31 at Naas Enterprise Park, Ladytown, Naas, County Kildare.
Specifically, according to planning documents lodged with Kildare County Council (KCC), the development would take place on a site of approximately 1.89 hectares located at the corner of Lime Drive and Ladytown Business Park (this site is generally bounded by Lime Drive to the west, Ladytown Business Park to the north, agricultural lands to the east, and development at Cherry Place to the south).
The proposed development (approx 7,817 square metres) shall consist of the construction of a warehousing/industrial/logistics unit of approx 7,721sqm (overall height approx 17.3m).
This unit would include: warehousing/industrial/logistics floor space of around 7,210 sqm and ancillary office accommodation of approx 511sqm (ground and first floor level) with reception area, circulation areas, plant area, tea station, locker rooms, toilets and show facilities, the provision of 10 dock levellers, and one door on grade for loading and unloading of Heavy Goods Vehicles to the warehouse.
In addition, planning permission is being sought for: the provision of 39 car parking spaces and 50 secure bicycle parking spaces; two access and egress routes to the proposed service yard and staff car park along Lime Drive; an attenuation pond at the north of the site; provision of one free-standing planted frame structure to the western corner (approx 10.3m in height) and one green wall facade to the southern corner of the proposed structure (approx. 7.5m in height); ESB Substation (approx 34sqm); a bin store & recyclable store (approx 62sqm).
Permission from KCC for all associated site development works including lighting, external plant, landscaping and engineering works, is also being sought.
There is also a separate live planning application associated with a small portion of this site for public realm works.
The date received is listed as May 18 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as June 21 and July 12 respectively.
According to the business information website vision-net.ie, Green Urban Logistics Development Corporation Ltd was set up in 2021.
It also trades as Green Urban Logistics Devco Limited and has an address listed as 32 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2, County Dublin.
