A homeless bricklayer who appeared before Naas District Court was advised to get a job.
The 23 year old, who appeared before the court, told Judge Desmond Zaidan he could not get work locally.
Referencing the residential building boom, Judge Zaidan replied that there are jobs available adding “in Ireland it costs €50,000 to buy a shed.
The court heard that the man has an alcohol problem and resides at Kerdiffstown House, nar Naas, which is run by the Peter McVerry Trust.
Judge Zaidan commented that the man was lucky to be a bricklayer because “bricklayers earn a lot of money.”
He told the man not to waste his life on alcohol.
