Blessington’s Kaleidoscope music festival returns

Blessington’s Kaleidoscope music festival returns

The Good Times will roll at Ireland’s leading family-focused music and arts festival Kaleidoscope as the legendary Nile Rodgers & Chic bring their feel-good anthems to the three-day carnival of colour on the grounds of Russborough House, Blessington, from June 30 to July 2.

Nile Rodgers is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and a multiple Grammy Award winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist.

And with Rodgers’ iconic performances with Chic at Electric Picnic, Glastonbury and Coachella going down in festival history, Kaleidoscope organisers are proud to present a show sure to transcend generations.

On Friday, let the fun begin with everyone’s favourite 90s chicks B*Witched! Chilled-out vibes will be the order of the day on the Saturday of the festival as Newton Faulkner joins the previously announced Gavin James.

On Sunday, the wildly eclectic Fun Lovin’ Criminals will bring their infectious blend of cinematic hip-hop, rock ‘n’ roll, blues-jazz and Latin-soul to the stage, while festival favourites the Dublin Gospel Choir will be back in action and looking for families to join their Kaleidoscope Choir.

Nile Rodgers & Chic are scheduled to perform on Sunday.

Kitted out to cater for each and every member of the modern Irish family, Kaleidoscope offers family moments and memories at every turn, whether that’s boogeying in your buggy at the main stage, jumping for joy on the world’s biggest bouncy castle, transporting yourself to a land of pure imagination at story time, or close encounters with creepy-crawlies.

Admission to the festival offers families free participation in a number of workshops, sports and wellness activities, from dancing at the Céilí Mór in the Trad Tent to whizzing and whirring science demos with Mark the Science Guy.

Early Bird Tickets are now completely sold out but a limited amount of discounted Tier 3 Last Chance Discount Tickets are currently still on sale.

Last Chance Discount Family & Friends Tickets (two adults and two children or one adult and three children) can be purchased for €305.75, while additional adult and child options are available on Ticketmaster.

General camping, admission and car parking are included in a weekend ticket and festival-goers must bring and pitch their own tents.

If pitching a tent sounds less than fun to you while juggling parent duties, Day Tickets are a great option when bringing youngsters to their first ever festival — more news on these coming soon!

There are also a wide range of alternative camping styles available. If something a little more luxurious than your standard tent is up your street, check out the boutique camping experience with Pink Moon, bookings can be made via www.pinkmooncamping.co.uk/kal
eidoscope-2023. With options available that range from standard two-man tents right up to tipis and yurts, the Boutique Glamping team will welcome you. Head to https://kaleidoscopefestival.ie/ or Ticketmaster for tickets. For those looking to secure your tickets to Kaleidoscope as soon as possible, you can buy now and pay later using Klarna when checking out on ticketmaster.ie.
