Gardaí alleged on Thursday, March 9 at Naas District Court that they discovered suspected drugs on a man in Kildare.
The accusations relate to Aaron Kelly, with an address given as 23 Loughlion Green in Kildare town.
Judge Desmond Zaidan was told that the 21-year-old was allegedly found with what gardaí believe to be cocaine worth an estimated €1,015 on his person at Loughlion Green on February 18 last.
The judge adjourned the case against Mr Kelly to September 7, to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
