WATCH: Dance group from Newbridge, County Kildare, achieves further success at London event

A dance group based in Newbridge wowed the audience when they performed on the world's biggest dance stage over the weekend weekend.

18 members of the KNC Performing Arts Company (KNC), aged between 12 and 19 years of age, attended Move It, which took place in England.

Move It is a world-renowned dance event that hosts 25,000 dancers from across the globe.

KNC performed a piece titled 'Neverland', which was choreographed by dance instructor Niamh Conlan.

The group told the Leinster Leader that it had two sold out workshops: Jazz on Friday with Katie Conlan (Niamh's sister) and her assistants (Jade Murray, Keeley Byrne, Aisling Tierney, Caitlin Hutchinson) and Lyrical on Sunday with Niamh and her assistants (David Quirke, Grace Rollinson, Isabelle Karney and Eirren Turner, along with Daniel Sinclair (Who has just finished his first professional performance contract on Celebrity Cruises).

"On Saturday night, the group went to see Frozen on West End, which is 'a show that many of them aspire to be in after college," the Conlan sisters said: "On Sunday, we had our Main Stage performance.

"The group performed 'Neverland'. It was choreographed by Niamh Conlan and was performed by: Aisling Tierney, David Quirke, Keeley Byrne, Grace Rollinson, Isabelle Karney, Sienna Byrne, Emme Byrne, Ava Kidd, Tess Wilson, Sophie Lennon, Marley Nolan, Abbie Hogan, Erica Karney, Ava Carley, Caitlin Hutchinson, Hope Nelson, Jade Murray, Louise Keane, Eirren Turner, Niamh Conlan."

The group's performance was watched by an audience of around 5,000 people.

In addition, two members of the group, David Quirke and Keeley Byrne, have been awarded a scholarship for the Hollywood Summer Tour, which provides scholarship opportunities to chosen students who excel in their workshops.
