A man who is accused of an assault causing harm offence has submitted plea of not guilty in relation to the case.
Last December, Damien Costello, with an address given as 3297 Lakeside Park in Newbridge, was previously accused of assaulting another man using a broken bottle on September 12, 2020, in Newbridge.
On Thursday, February 9, the 31-year-old submitted his plea before Naas District Court.
JURISDICTION REFUSED
Upon being informed about the alleged details in the case, presiding Judge Michéle Finan refused jurisdiction over the case.
The case will return to Naas Courthouse on June 1, which is when a book of evidence in relation to the case is due to be presented.
