Revamped plans for 22 apartments near Naas, County Kildare

A brand-new draft of a proposal for 22 apartments near Naas has been submitted to Kildare County Council (KCC).

Previously, in 2018, an appeal against KCC's decision to turn down plans for the development, which was put forward by Viztip Limited, was thrown out by An Bord Pleanála.

However, the company has appeared to relaunch their proposal with KCC.

Viztip Ltd is seeking consent for an infill development of two residential blocks (22 apartments in total) within the curtilage of Craddockstown Court Apartments near Naas.

Both new blocks (Block E and Block F) will be four storeys in height and included 11 apartments (3 x 1 bedroom and 8 x 2 bedroom apartments) in each block.

This will bring the total number of apartments on site to 69.

A basement level to Block F is proposed to provide for car parking, cycle storage and a bin store.

Each apartment will have private amenity space provided by a terrace at ground floor or a balcony for apartments above ground floor level.

The application proposes an additional 39 car parking spaces bringing the total car parking provision to 112 spaces on site.

It also includes the demolition of an existing refuse store (circa 37 metres squared) and the construction of four new refuse stores of c.13sqm to cater for apartments within Blocks B-E.

Refuse storage for Block F is proposed within the basement.

In addition, the latest application proposes significant landscaping including the provision of a green walkway through the east of the site, a revised vehicular entrance and all other associated works.

The date received is listed as January 17 last, due date is listed as March 13.

There is no submission-by date listed in the planning documents.

According to the business information website SoloCheck.ie, Viztip Ltd was set up in July of 2015.

It also operates under the names Hibernian Development Corporation, Hibernian Hotel Group, Hibernian Hotel Dublin, Ri Ra, and The Globe.

Viztip Ltd has an address listed as Sheil Kinnear, Sinnottstown Business Park, Sinnottstown Lane Drinagh Wexford, Drinagh, County Wexford.
