KILDARE: Parents asked to return unused school bus tickets

No money for pedestrian crossings in Kill and Johnstown

Cllr Fintan Brett

Parents who have free school bus tickets for school going children have been asked to return them - if they’re not being used.

Mayor of Kildare Fintan Brett said he has been contacted by a number of parents highlighting the fact that there are empty seats on school buses “and yet they cannot get tickets due to all seats being already allocated.”

Cllr Brett says Bus Eireann have confirmed unused tickets which are returned will be reissued to those on a waiting list in that area.

Kill is one village where parents are seeking some of these unused tickets,” said Cllr Brett

On 5 July 2022, it was announced that there will be no fee for using the school transport scheme 2022-2023.
