Holy Family Secondary School in Newbridge
A Co Louth contractor has been appointed to carry out works at the Holy Family Secondary School on the Naas Road in Newbridge.
CJ Callan Construction has been hired to work on the complete refurbishment and upgrade of three science rooms, store rooms, preparation rooms and chemical stores.
The works include the fitting of built-in furniture with adequate sinks, storage facilities for equipment, slip-resistant flooring and upgraded ceilings.
Also involved in the contract is new lighting and works to the gas supply to allow science experiments to take place when school central heating is turned on.
The tender deadline was in July and the successful bidder was chosen in recent days.
