KILDARE: Pressure on to create a one way street in Naas

Kildare County Council is to look at the practicality of turning a two way street into a one way version.

Naas councillor Anne Breen says that John’s Lane, opposite the Dunnes Stores entrance, would be converted to a one-way system.

She said this would improve traffic flow and would be “in the interests of pedestrian safety.”

She also said that two cars cannot pass safely and “people are using it as a shortcut.”

KCC is to carry out a feasibility study.
