Bill Clear
The only independent to seek a seat to represent Kildare North is out of the race.
Bill Clear, formerly of the Social Democrats, was eliminated with 5458 votes in the 11th count.
This was not unexpected an his votes are now being distributed among the four remaining candidates- Réada Cronin (SF), Naoise Ó Cearúil (FF), Joe Neville (FG) and Bernard Durkan (FG) - chasing three seats.
