Lilies face four away trips in proposed 2017 Allianz Football League fixtures

This Sunday may be All Ireland final Day but already the (proposed) fixtures for the 2017 Allianz Football and Hurling leagues have already been posted to all counties.

Cian O'Neill's Kildare certainly face a tough task back in Division 2 with four games away and just three on home turf.

Counties have a few weeks to perusal over the fixtures and can contact Croke Park if they have any objections before the final list is then officially sent out.

On the draft fixtures plan Kildare footballers opening game in their Division 2 campaign is away to Meath and their final game in Round 7 is also away, this time to Galway.

The proposed football fixture is as follows:

Rd 1, February 5: away to Meath.

Rd 2, February 12: at home to Cork.

Rd 3, February 26: away to Derry.

Rd 4, March 5: at home to Fermanagh.

Rd 5, March 18 (Saturday): away to Down.

Rd 6, March 25: at home to Clare (tbc).

Rd 7, April 2: Away to Galway.

Meanwhile Joe Quaid's hurlers will operate in Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League, with three home games and two away.

Proposed fixtures are as follows:

Rd 1, February 12: away to Armagh.

Rd 2, February 19: home to Westmeath.

Rd 3, March 5: away to Antrim.

Rd 4, March 11: home to Carlow.

Rd 5, March 26: home to London.
