Just shy of a month on from their relegation to Division 3 of the Allianz Football League after defeat to Louth, Brian Flanagan's Kildare are readying themselves for their first Championship outing of the season.
The Lilies face Laois at 3:45pm in Cedral St Conleth's Park on Sunday, April 19 in the quarter-final of the Leinster GAA Senior Football Championship.

Confidence is far from brimming in Kildare fan circles following five consecutive losses in the league and poor displays from a team that looked devoid of confidence from the mid-point of their game with Derry onwards. With that said, this young side have had a great chance to regroup following a major setback to their long-term ambitions with a positive Championship performance.
Laois reached this stage with a 3-12 to 0-12 over Offaly in a far from impressive display from both sides by all accounts. That matter will now be put to the side now by Laois manager Justin McNulty as focus shifts to facing Kildare this weekend.
