This Saturday, 4 April 2026, is indeed a proud day for Moorefield GAA Club in Newbridge, as it is the day their new facilities will be officially opened by Uachtaráin Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns.

The opening, brought forward some 24 hours due to a clash of dates for the Uachtaráin, will now be held at 12 noon this Saturday at 12 noon, and all members, young and old, along with friends and the general public are invited to come along for what promises to be a memorable day, with a host of activities planned, as they officially unveil a project that cost some €1.2m.
