AFL Round 6: Kildare shake it up

Sam Doran named at corner forward for Saturday's clash with Cork

The Kildare team to play Cork at Pairc Uí Rinn on Saturday, in Round 6 of the Allianz Football League throws-in 5 pm has been named and shows a number of changes from the side that started, and lost, to Meath two weeks ago.

Ryan Burke is named in defence; while Sam Doran gets his first start leading the attack. Alex Beirne who picked up a shoulder against Meath and was forced off at half-time, has failed to recover in time for this one. The bench sees Eoin Sheehan wear the no. 16 shirt; while Rob Fitzgerald, Niall Dolan and Jack Robinson are also named on the bench. 

The full team reads:

KILDARE v Cork: Cian Burke; Harry O’Neill, Padraic Spillane, Brian Byrne; James Harris, Eoin Lawlor, Ryan Burke; Callum Bolton, Brendan Gibbons; Brian McLoughlin, Colm Moran, Colm Dalton; Sam Doran, Darragh Kirwan, Ben Loakman.

Subs: Eoin Sheehan, Rob Fitzgearld, Mark Dempsey, Liam Kelly, Daragh Ryan, Kevin Feely, Niall Dolan, Jack McKevitt, Ben McCormack, Jack Robinson, Eoin Cully
