Kildare are looking to bounce back from defeat to Cavan when they face Meath this Saturday, February 28 at Cedral St Conleth's Park. Brian Flanagan's side tackle the high-flying Royals in a 7pm throw-in with their status in Allianz Football League Division 2 potentially at stake ahead of a tricky final trio of games.

A win would certainly ease the growing pressure on The Lilies as they are now sucked into a relegation scrap, anything else would make the two remaining games when they travel to take on Cork and their final home game with Louth, immense to say the least.

Meath are third in Division 2 with three wins and a loss from their outings to this point; their only defeat being in their last game and a 1-23 to 1-21 loss to table-toppers Cork in Páirc Uí Rinn.
A one-point win over Leinster final adversaries Louth, a two-point away win in Cavan and a 'home' (Croke Park) win over Derry have left The Royals in a strong position. Their impressive array of attacking options will be a huge threat to Kildare with impressive tallies put up in all four of their games.
With that said, Brian Flanagan's men will be heartened by the fact that their opponents this weekend have been pushed all the way in each of their games so far and have neither won nor lost by more than three points. Saturday's clash could well be decided by big moments from big players and the return of Alex Beirne's will add crucial quality and experience to The Lilies lineup.
