Philly McMahon
Former Dublin star, Philly McMahon, is expected to be named as the new manager of Kildare county champions Naas.
Naas have been without a manager following the resignation of Joe Murphy, who left the club to take over his native Carlow, some weeks ago.
Naas, will be aiming to make it five senior county titles in a row this year and if the appointment is confirmed, it will certainly be a major appointment for the club.
It is understood that the county champions club have been searching far and wide in recent times for a new manager with many big names being suggested, but now it would seem they have got their man.
There was major controversy recently when former Derry manager, Rory Gallagher was proposed as their new coach with GAA President Jarlath Burns stepping in and suggesting to Naas that appointment should not be approved.
