RIP: Tributes paid to Kildare gentleman who passed recently

The late Donal Kennelly, Newbridge, Kildare

The community of Newbridge, Co Kildare is mourning the passing of Donal Kennelly, who passed on April 10 last.

Donal passed peacefully in his 93rd year, surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the staff of Curragh Lawns Nursing Home.

Donal is predeceased by his loving sister Mae. He is the beloved husband of Betty and much loved father of Marie, Brendan, Shane, Ronan, Niamh, Aideen, Niall, Ita and Gavin.

Donal will be greatly missed by his wife and children, sister Noreen, sons-in-law and daughters in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Rita, nieces, nephews and friends.

Donal will be reposing at Anderson & Leahy's Funeral Home, Henry Street, Newbridge, W12W584 on Monday, April 13 from 4pm with prayers at 7pm.

The removal takes place on Tuesday morning April 14 at 10.30am to arrive at St. Conleth's Parish Church for 11am Mass.

Mass an be viewed on https://newbridgeparish.ie/parish-church.

Funeral afterwards to St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.

Family flowers only please.
House private.

Tributes paid to Donal on RIP.ie include: “Condolences to Ronan and the Kennelly family on the loss of your father. May he Rest in Peace.”

And: “Our sincere condolences to Ronan, Aoife and Patrick, and the wider Kennelly family at this sad time. May Donal rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “Sincere condolences Aideen and family from the Board of Management, Staff, Children and Parents on the sad passing of your lovely Dad.”

And another added: “So sorry to learn of Donal's passing, an old friend and team mate with Sarsfields. Sincere sympathy to Betty and all the family. R.I.P. Donald.”
